Studying with BCT

As a student of St Paul's you are part of the greater body of students of the ecumenically-organised Brisbane College of Theology.  As such:

    • Your classes may be held at St Paul's Banyo (see below) or at either of the other two Colleges of the BCT: St Francis Theological College (Anglican) and Trinity Theological College (Uniting Church).  You therefore need to refer to your timetable to see where units are held.
    • Your classes will often include students from St Francis and/or Trinity College.  The collegiality, understanding and friendships that students from different Christian denominations build with each other while studying at BCT is one of the great advantages of studying with us.
    • Your classes will often be taken by lecturers from St Francis and/or Trinity College.  While many BCT units cater specifically to the Catholic tradition and are taught by St Paul's faculty (and others to the Anglican or Reformed traditions with lecturers drawn from those Colleges), there is a great deal of collaboration in teaching among BCT faculty.

Facilities for Students

The St Paul's complex presently houses:

    • the offices of the members of faculty
    • a Boardroom and tutorial room that are used for meetings and small classes, and a staff-student consultation room
    • some quiet work spaces (especially in the "annexe" building), available for students
    • separate kitchenette facilities, for shared staff and student use
    • car parking space  for St Paul's (and other BCT - not ACU) students and St Paul's staff (indicated as such).  See Reception for a Parking Permit, valid for the semester.

St Paul's students also have access to other facilities on the ACU campus.  For locations, refer to the location map and campus map:

    • St Paul's classes (esp. larger groups) are regularly timetabled in ACU classrooms (especially in "I Block"), and (when required) lecture theatres.
    • The Chapel, which is shared by St Paul's and ACU.  (Opening Hours: Monday to Friday (TBA) and Weekday Mass times: Wednesday 12 noon)
    • The campus canteen (Opening Hours: {TBA} and separate coffee shop (Opening Hours: {TBA}).  For locations refer to the campus map.
    • The Library (which houses the St Paul's Library Collection), along with all student facilities.

For St Paul's students who would like to buy books St Paul's Book Centre in Brisbane CBD is a good source.
