"Courses" are entire programs of study, comprised of numerous semester units of work, that lead toward the granting of a degree.
Upon meeting relevant entry criteria, St Paul's students may enrol in any of the following BCT courses that are fully accredited with the QLD Office of Higher Education. All together, we offer seven coursework programs: one at undergraduate level, and six at postgraduate level. The postgraduate courses are arranged into two streams - Theology and Ministry - each of which involves three courses that are largely nested into one another in a sequence: from Graduate Certificate level to Graduate Diploma level to Masters level.
Bachelor of Theology The Bachelor of Theology is a 24 unit (240cp) undergraduate course that provides the student with a thorough grounding in the basic disciplines and debates of contemporary Christian theology. Some basic features include:
On completion of this award, the student is eligible to enter the Master of Theology program.
Graduate Certificate in Theology The Graduate Certificate in Theology is a 4 unit (40cp) coursework award that provides students with an undergraduate degree in a discipline other than theology with a focused introduction to Scripture, Theology, Church History and Philosophy (or Liturgy). On completion of this award, the student is eligible to enter the Graduate Diploma in Theology.
Graduate Diploma in Theology The Graduate Diploma in Theology is an 8 unit (80cp) coursework award, made up of the four existing introductory units taken at Graduate Certificate level + four additional elective units across a similar range of areas in theology, though with a limited degree of specialisation possible.
